June Mathias (Wycliffe Bible Translators)

Picture
Waxhaw, NC (Orlando, FL)
Wycliffe Bible Translators works to write Bibles in every language around the world. They say they won’t stop until all people have God’s Word in a language they understand.

June believes everyone needs God’s Word in their own language. She delights to use her computer skills to provide efficient tools for Bible translators “so that all nations might believe and obey him” (Romans 16:26).

God uniquely prepared June through her linguistic studies. She began serving with Wycliffe in 1988 and enjoyed teaching national translators in West Africa for three terms. Now she lives in Waxhaw, NC and eagerly hunts for accidental bugs in language software such as Paratext. Bible translators appreciate reliable computer programs.
