Homeschool Ministry
All Homeschool Co-Op Programs have been suspended until further notice due to COVID-19
The Clarence Center Akron Mennonite (CCAM) Homeschool Co-op is run and coordinated by the participating families of the home-schooled children. All parents of participating children must be involved as a teacher or teacher's helper. Each teacher and teacher's helper is asked to go through the training required by CCAM. This training involves how we guard the children in our care from physical, emotional, mental and spiritual harm. For this training, CCAM requires a personal background check to ensure the safety of our children.
The Homeschooling Ministry is not "drop your kids off" school or childcare provider. This ministry can not adequately operate without everybody contributing.
The classes run from 2:30-5:30 p.m. every Wednesday afternoons (unless holidays) for 8 weeks. We are blessed to have a variety of classes, thanks to the parents, friends and grandparents of the children. Every 8-week session we have classes for grades K-12th. Classes might vary from physical activity to studying a foreign language. Every session is a little different because of the classes offered and the itinerary. Nursery care is available for those who need to teach or help elsewhere.
Thank you to all those who are sharing your gifts in this ministry. We are excited to see how God will continue to work, please join in prayer for the families that will be involved.
