SoS
SoS (Summer of Service) will take place Monday - Thursday, August 15th - 18th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
We will begin each evening at 5:30 with a simple supper for everyone and a devotion time. We will
leave for our "project sites" by 6:15 p.m. where we will be the hands and feet of Jesus in our
community by helping others. At 7:30, we will meet back at church for a closing time of singing, prayer
and sharing about that evening's projects.
This is a multi-generational event. We want Moms, Dad, children, grandparents, everyone to work
together. There will be projects for all ages* and stages! * Please Note: Children under the age of
5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Below is a list of the projects in the works right now, More will be added as the time gets closer!
• Prepping and Painting a kitchen for an elderly brother and sister in the Akron area.
• Inspirational chalk art and handing out water bottles on the bike path.
• Sewing and putting together school kits and health kits.
• Knotting a comforter.
• Constructing and finishing a small-size structure.
